1. Drink sufficient water
Especially when you are traveling during the summer, you will find getting good quality of water is very essential. Make sure that you have enough quantity of water with you or you get it as per the plan while traveling. You should not travel for longer hours without break. Make a habit of getting out of the vehicle from time to time which lowers the level of dehydration completely and keeps you fresh for longer time.
Try this simple calculation to find out how much water your body requires. Divide your weight in pounds by 2. What result you get should be treated in ounces. Remember 30 ounces is equal to 1 litre.
If your weight is : 120 lbs. then 120 /2 = 60 lbs. Now consider 60 lbs as 60 ounces, which is equal to 2 litres.
One should keep drinking a minimum of calculated liters of water from time to time which reduces the dehydration.
2. Pack healthy snacks
While traveling, you do not mind to have food available in the shops, roadside hotels or at the stations. But instead of having food which is risky for the health and causes serious health damages, one can pack healthy snacks and the food items while on the journey. The food prepared at home with care is the best and most essential. During summer you can have more farm fruits which are easily available and having no risk.
3. Relax and stretch yourself
While in the journey, you need to be relaxed and active. Longer journeys become tedious when you sit at one place for longer. It not only dehydrates the body but it also makes the body hot and heavy. One should try to relax and enjoy the situation rather than suffer it. You can get down from the vehicle when required and can walk around stretching your body. You can have nutrients which help in keeping the body healthy and active even during the longer journeys and exhausting traveling.
